 Since the settlement and original charter of the town in 1869 around the Wilmington and Weldon Railroad, up to the present time, much progress and many changes have been made in the Town Of Wade.

Utilities & Services
In 1985, Wade was awarded a grant for the construction of a water system and in August of 1988 the first public water was made available to Wade citizens.
